Ignite Youth Ministries
Student Ministries at Bakersfield First Assembly strive to meet students where they are at, creating unique opportunities for students to interact with each other and engage in Christ-focused activities. We have a heart for students. The decisions Jr. high and High school students make during these years will impact their future, and many times alter the course of their whole life. Through biblical guidance, instruction, friendship, and mentoring, we want to help students develop their own relationship with God and make right choices during this time in their lives.
Ignite Youth Ministries exists to create opportunities for students to encounter Jesus Christ, ignite a passion in our students for Christ and His Word, and to disciple our students into Godly young men and women. Our desire is to set the fuse, ignite the fire, and fuel the flame. Wednesday Nights
Wednesday nights are a time for students in Jr. High and High School to come hang out and worship. Our combined worship service starts at 7 pm, but everyone is more than welcome to come early to get things from the snack bar, play some games, sports, or just hang out!
You will experience relevant messages, rock'n worship, crazy games and multi-media. We would love to see you there! We meet every Wednesday night from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the R Wing, Room R-6. If you are a student and want to have a good time, or a parent who is looking for a positive atmosphere for your student, then Ignite is the place for you.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes for youth meet in the coffee shop, just outside the youth room.
Trips & Activities
Ignite Youth Ministries will do various trips and activities throughout the year. Our year is jam-packed with camps, missions trips, youth convention, concerts, baseball games, all nighters, beach trips, lake days, ice skating, skateparks, theme parks, parties, and much much more! Some are geared towards Jr-Highers, some towards High Schoolers, and some are combined events. Expect to have a lot of fun in this youth group!
